Your time spent in the field and behind great hunting dogs will do wonders for the stress of daily life. In addition to enjoying the outdoors and fine bird shooting, your day will provide you the time to meet other hunters and become acquainted with the many trained Pointers, English Setters and Brittany hunting dogs of Tobacco Stick.

For those hunters who wish to warm up, our skeet range will provide the opportunity to shoot a clay. The hunt starts at 8:30 a.m. with a briefing on safety, instructions on hunting with the dogs and answers to any questions. Jeep transportation is used for moving the hunters and dogs to the hunt areas. The hunters walk through the grass fields, timber and feed strips as the dogs work the edges for birds. With the abundance of birds, the dogs will soon point a covey or single ... The hunters then move in and ready themselves for the flush. The hunt continues until 12:00.

Afternoon hunts start at
1:00 and run until 4:30 p.m. By 5:00 the hunters are gathered back at the lodge to relax and share stories.
